Nourishing Diet for a Healthier Brain

28 November 2026

As we live longer, maintaining a sharp and healthy mind is an important part of ageing well. This talk explores how the brain works, how it changes with age, and how nutrition can support optimal brain function and overall brain health.

Discover the role of key nutrients in supporting cognitive health, including omega-3 fatty acids, antioxidants and B vitamins. The talk will also highlight the importance of hydration and share practical tips to help you stay adequately hydrated.

Come join us and learn simple, practical ways to nourish your brain and support a healthier mind through good nutrition from Ms Mah Wah Yee, Principal Dietitian, St Luke’s ElderCare.

Mah Wai Yee holds an MSc in Clinical Nutrition from the University of Wisconsin and a Postgraduate Diploma in Dietetics from the University of Otago. With over 20 years of experience across various settings, including hospitals, nursing homes and the food industry, she is currently a Principal Dietitian at St Luke’s ElderCare, where she leads the Dietetics Department. Passionate about advancing community dietetics, Mah Wai Yee strives to improve population health in Singapore through evidence-based nutrition care.
