Elder Lawrence was introduced to Christianity when he attended occasional events at two churches near his home in Kim Keat close. As a youth, he was drawn to the worship songs and simple message of the gospel.
In 1977, Elder Lawrence accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour when a young man witnessed to him.
In 2015, Elder Lawrence answered God’s call to begin theological studies at the East Asia School of Theology. He also stepped up as our Board Chairman following an early retirement from his 36.5-year civil service career.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Ministry (BACM) in May 2021, Elder Lawrence joined our pastoral team. He is serving in the Prayer, Family Life and Senior Ministries.
Elder Lawrence enjoys spending time with his family and two adorable grandchildren.
