Melvin first encountered Jesus Christ in a deeply personal way while volunteering on a project for our church. What started as a simple act of service became a life-changing journey. Through that experience, he saw God’s love in action – not just in the work being done but in the people he served alongside. Over time, he came to know Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour. Surrendering his life to Jesus Christ has been the most transformative decision Melvin has ever made, shaping how he lives, works, and serves today.
Melvin currently serves as our board member, where he helps provide governance oversight, strategic planning, and stewardship to support the church’s mission, serving alongside others committed to advancing God’s kingdom.
Professionally, Melvin is the Chief Communications Officer at a healthcare institution, with a career spanning strategic communications, corporate training, and healthcare administration and leadership. Melvin has had the privilege of leading teams, building capabilities, and contributing to organizational growth-work that aligns with his passion for empowering people and fostering meaningful impact.
Beyond his profession, Melvin volunteers with Club Rainbow Singapore as well as Eagles Mediation and Counselling Centre.
In his free time, Melvin enjoys traveling and discovering new cultures, a reminder of the beauty and diversity of God’s creation.
